Department Of Geography
Introduction
Department of Geography is an independent department with laboratory. It was stated with the aim to make the students aware of geographical elements, natural resources and environment and impart the knowledge of Earth Science to the students. The study of geography provides practical experience to the students department of geography is well equipped with the facilities like type of maps, Dummpy Level instrument, plane table survey etc.

A) Shri. Dr. R. G. Rathod Arts & Science College, Murtizapur Dist. Akola. Established Geography study forum during session 2010-2011.
B)Educational Tour went “Indor Ujjan” on dated 27 Dec. 2010 to 30 Dec. 2010. The 33 students participated in this tour. The Prof. N. P. Bhalerao, Prof. S. K. Shah, Prof. S. S. Dange Madam, Guided students.
C)Geography Department celebrated Geography Day 14 Jan. 2011. President of the praogramme Dr. R. G. Rathod, Chief Guest of the programme Prof. S. S. Dhande,
D) Ku. Prajkta Vairale, Ku. Pallavi Dhage was participated in essay competition, on Geographical topic in V. M. V. College, Amravati.
Departmental Activities (2011-12)
the following programme have been organized by Geography Department. They are as follows
A)Shri. Dr. R. G. Rathod Arts & Science College, Murtizapur Dist. Akola. Established Geography study forum during session 2011-2012. Its has guest and president respected Dr. A. S. Tankar and Prof. V. V. Kapile. On this occasion Dr. A. S. Tankar told about the importance of the Geography and declared the representatives of Geography Study Forum.
B)Educational Tour went “Salbardi” on dated 26 Dec. 2011. The 23 students participated in this tour. The Prof. N. P. Bhalerao, Prof. S. K. Shah, Prof. S. B. Mahajan Madam, Guided students.
C)Geography Department celebrated Geography Day 14 Jan. 2012. President of the praogramme Dr. R. G. Rathod, Chief Guest of the programme Principal, Dr. A. P. Charjan Shri. Dr. R. G. Rathod Arts & Science College, Murtizapur Dist. Akola.
D)By Geography Department Ku. Neha Karne Ku. Mohini Sathale was participated in essay competition, on Geographical topic in V. M. V. College, Amravati

Kawar Head of Physics Dept and Dr. A. S. Nimkar Head of Mathematics Dept. On this occasion Dr. S. s. Kawar told about the importance of the Geography and Dr. A. S. Nimkar declared the representatives of Geography Study Forum.
